Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Am I Ok? when you use our website and service. We've written them in plain English so you can actually read them. Effective July 25, 2026.
What Am I Ok? is
Am I Ok? (“we”, “us”) is a portfolio health assessment tool. You share your investment holdings by uploading a statement, linking a brokerage account, or entering them yourself. We score the portfolio across dimensions like fees, diversification, and idle cash, and we explain what we find in a written report.
By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the service.
We inform. We don't advise.
Am I Ok? is an assessment tool, not investment advice. What you do next is up to you.
We are not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or fiduciary, and nothing in the service is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. Our scores and reports are educational. They are based on general investing principles applied to the data you give us, not on a full picture of your financial life.
When we name a specific fund, it is an example of something that meets our published criteria for broad coverage at low cost. It is not an endorsement or a prediction. You can read exactly how we pick examples on Why trust this.
Investing involves risk, including the possible loss of what you invest. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Before making significant financial decisions, consider consulting a qualified professional who knows your full situation.
Keeping your account yours
You need an account to use most of the service. Keep your password private, give us accurate information, and let us know at hello@amiok.co if you think someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for activity that happens under your login.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Am I Ok?. The service is designed for your own household's portfolios, not for advising clients or reselling our output.
What you pay and how to stop paying
Parts of the service are free. Paid plans are currently a one-time report for $29, a quarterly plan at $29 per quarter, and an annual plan at $99 per year. Current pricing and what each plan includes are shown on the pricing page, which is the source of truth if it differs from the numbers here.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscription plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime in Settings under Subscription. Cancelling stops future charges, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.
If we change a price, we will tell you before it affects a renewal. If you believe a charge was made in error, email us and we will work it out.
Your portfolio stays your portfolio
The statements you upload and the holdings you share remain yours. You give us permission to store and process them for one purpose: running the service for you, which includes scoring your portfolio and generating your reports. We do not sell your personal or financial data.
Only upload accounts you own or are authorized to manage. How we collect, protect, and delete your data is covered in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
Please don't break it
Use the service as intended. Don't attempt to breach its security, scrape or bulk-extract its data, reverse-engineer it, resell it, use it to build a competing product, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
The Am I Ok? name, design, scoring methodology, and content belong to us. These terms give you a personal right to use the service, not ownership of any part of it.
Data and services we rely on
We use third-party services to run Am I Ok?, including Plaid for linking brokerage accounts, Stripe for payments, and market data providers for fund prices, fees, and characteristics. Their services are governed by their own terms, and Plaid's handling of your credentials is described when you connect an account.
Market data can be delayed, estimated, or occasionally wrong at the source. We work to catch errors, but we can't guarantee that every price, fee, or fund detail is accurate or current.
The legal ceiling on what we owe you
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a score or report will lead to any particular financial outcome.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for investment losses connected to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $100 if you haven't paid us anything.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain of these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Leaving, and changes to these terms
You can stop using Am I Ok? anytime and delete your account in Settings under Security. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, and we may change or discontinue parts of the service, giving you notice when we reasonably can.
We may update these terms as the service evolves. If a change is significant, we will let you know, for example by email or a notice in the app. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
Questions about these terms? Email us at hello@amiok.co. For how we handle your data, see the Privacy Policy.
